Capilano University will be opening “CapU Lonsdale” at The Shipyards for the Fall 2019 term, in a brand new 11,000 square foot location on the second floor, overlooking the site’s new public plaza, and the downtown Vancouver city skyline. CapU Lonsdale will be the home to the University’s relocated Continuing Studies & Executive Education program, and will also offer select programs and courses from all five of the University’s faculties.
Caffe Artigiano started back in 2000 when they opened one of the first artisan crafted coffee shops in Vancouver. It has since expanded with over 13 locations in Greater Vancouver, but is still locally owned and operated. The Shipyards waterfront location will include access to an expansive patio, including lots of outdoor seating and a fire pit.
Jamjar Canteen is a fast casual Lebanese restaurant rooted from the inception of Jamjar —Folk Lebanese Food. It is based on a simple menu catering to health-conscious diners seeking nutritious and freshly prepared Middle Eastern food served quick and with lots of love, passion and professionalism.
Joey Shipyards is a 9,500 square foot flagship restaurant over two-storeys, with two spacious waterfront patios. Joey Shipyards will be the first North Shore location for this brand.

Main Street Honey Shoppe provides a wide selection of healthy honeybee products including local and exotic specialty honeys, Apitherapy products for health and nutrition, natural body care products, and 100% pure beeswax candles. Our “Bees in the City” program brings honeybee colonies into the city to help pollinate our parks & gardens and produce delicious Urban Honey!
Method Indoor Cycling offers a unique indoor cycling experience. This 2,500 square foot location on the second floor of The Shipyards, will feature floor to ceiling windows in high-end finishings, and a patio.
Nook is a rustic Italian restaurant that features handmade pasta and pizza, in a lively and intimate environment. Nook is a staple for fresh Italian comfort food in the community. This will be Nook’s first North Shore location.

Welcome Parlour Ice Cream is a North Vancouver owned and operated business is home to the most delicious, natural, authentic ice cream that is made fresh in small batches, with no additives. The Shipyards will be Welcome Parlour’s second location, and will feature all of their hand crafted ice cream, in addition to unique hard to find candies and chocolate.
Reckless Shipyards continues with a brand new shop, located at The Shipyards, with a focus on eBikes! Their “Yes” attitude and “Unrelentingly Friendly Service” was first started by Paul Dragan, at his original Granville Island shop back in 1986. Zen Maker Lab is an innovative engineering and education lab that designs programs and products for kids and youth. Here at The Shipyards, the community can find a great place where getting exposure to and developing skills in STEAM doesn’t need to be a step-by-step ladder. Here your kids’ projects and ideas have the possibility to come to life. Some of the subject areas that kids can learn are Robotics, VR/AR, coding, 3D design and 3D printing, electronics, fabrication (stickers), animation, illustration, and game development, just to name a few.
